It has the most bang for your buck (off the top of my head I can't think of the total number of races, but they're plentiful and full of variety), the tuning/upgrades system may be simplistic in comparison to so many other games out there, but it's diverse enough to provide you with several different tuning layouts for each vehicle that can be modified (special and complete machines can only have their paint and livery changed), it may not have the most cars or courses even within its own franchise, but the ones that are there are of high quality and while somewhat restrictive, there are enough cosmetic tweaks that can be done on the cars to keep things interesting there, and there is a small bit of lore that can be found within this game.just pay attention to the RSN ticker at the bottom of the screen, it may not seem like much, but I feel that it adds that little something that makes RR7 feel that much more alive than RR6, the 'BREAKING NEWS' announcements that tick across the screen each time you gain 100 manufacturer points, complete a GP or some other challenging race along with the top fastest and richest racers (if you're signed in to PSN) that scroll past, mixed amongst the other news stories within the game really makes it feel like you're getting a glimpse into a living world (at least it does for me).

I honestly love Ridge Racer 7 more than any other game in the series, it may not have the 'style and flamboyance' Type 4 has, but in my opinion it has just as much soul.
